Glass that should be banished!

This one deserved its own page because it SHOULD NOT, if I had my way, belong to any of the other categories.

Glue chip glass is inexpensive, and on account of its very low cost, has been overused in common architectural projects for the longest time, to the point that I cannot bear the sight of it anymore. Being ubiquitous has muddied any possible association with a particular style, save mass produced doorways.

While the pattern is quite shallow, it is strongly obscuring, making it a cheap cabinet or privacy glass. Unfortunately, it lacks the sparkle or optical effect that more deeply embossed glass might produce. Below is a photo of the glue chip glass, which you should immediately recognize and associate with storm doors and those 3-piece stained glass gift shop angels:
